As the webmaster of this
website and being Richard's best friend allows me certain privileges and
responsibilities. My first responsibility is to "EMBARRASS" Richard
as much as possible. Which is my privilege as webmaster. I
am sure Richard will make it a personal quest to do the same to me someday.
But today it is my turn.
I met Richard near the end of my Freshman year at Mt. Pleasant High School. We met in PE, swimming class, talking about our favorite books, Sci-Fi. This began our Friendship. During our sophomore year I invited Richard to play "Dungeons and Dragons" with me and some of my other friends. Our friendship grew. We started hanging out together, going to "Rock Concerts", going to the Beach, getting in trouble together, etc. We have been friends ever since. It is now time to tell an embarrassing story, embarrassing for Richard, that is. I have one that just came to mind. Back in High school we used to wear Rocker Clothes, metal spikes and belts and bandannas, etc. One time we went out to the movies with dates all decked out in our "Rocker" gear. Richard borrowed a spiked belt held together (buckle) with "handcuffs". After the movies were over we went to a "Big boys" restaurant to get some burgers and fries. Rich gets up, and excuses himself, and goes to the rest room. A few minutes go by. A few more minutes go by. A whole lot of minutes go buy. We start to wonder what happened to Richard. Richard returns to the table, with this desperate look on his face. But trying to keep his cool......

belt off. I can't help but laugh. (not really funny)." You can tell
Richard is holding it, barely.
"Dude?, do you have the key to these @#%@*@ handcuffs?", asks Richard. I look at our dates, who are about dead on the floor from holding in their laughter, trying not to embarrass Richard. I reach over to the Belt and "UNSNAP", a leather portion and the belt almost falls to the floor. Before anyone can say or do anything, Richard turns and about RUNS, to the bathroom. Question
The End Friendship, that is what this page is about. And Memories, alot of these memories displayed throughout this page in photos and comments are shared memories between Richard and I. And that is what makes up our Friendship combined experiences and feelings. Another tribute to our friendship is the number of photos that I have of Richard. These are photos from my photo albums. Richard has not contributed to this page directly, other than by giving me photos of us or events from our past as the events occurred. This page is actually a surprise (gift) to Richard. Richard is a great artist and storyteller in his own right. I have been trying to get him to contribute stories to my website..........but to no avail.
